Top 5 Most Disturbing Horror Movies Of All Time

We have all had a nightmare or a bit of paranoia after seeing a certain horror movie in our life. But these 5 films go well beyond what we normally call horror, moving farther into the realm of twisted and taking the title of Just plain out Disturbing. so today I'd like to share with you, my Top 5 picks for the most disturbing horror movies of all time.

1. Antichrist (2009)
Believe me, when I say there are a few scenes in this film that are more than memorable, the film its self is more of an art/horror, seemingly more aimed at making you uncomfortable then scaring the shit out of you. Now don't get me wrong here, the concept of the film is most diffidently one of nightmares, just not the nightmare that makes you piss your pants, more of a yank from sleep at the mere thought of what occurs. The story follows a psychiatrist and his wife whom is in a deep state of depression after the death of their infant son, blaming herself for his death. Trying to treat his wife himself, they retreat to a cabin from their past so she can face her fears, but things go astray when he begins having strange visions and his wife becomes more unhinged, with increasingly violent sexual behavior aimed towards herself and her husband.  Just a fun tidbit for yahs, the film was written and directed by Lars Von Trier, so if you happen to be a fan of his directorial style and visuals, it might be worth taking your time to watch. Well, if you don't mind having some crazy shit stuck in your head for the next few days.

2. Cannibal Holacost (1980)
If you're a fan of blood and guts, I mean lots of guts. then this is a film for you. But on the other hand, if you have a weak stomach I highly suggest against watching this film. The movie is shot in a documentary style and is set in the Amazon rainforest. The film tells the story of a missing film crew who had gone to the Amazon to film tribes that still practice cannibalism. Harold Monro a University anthropologist leads a rescue mission to find them and recovers the film crews lost footage. upon viewing the reel's Harold is distraught by the team's actions. upon learning their fates Monro objects to the tv station airing the documentary.  Ruggero Deodato's Cannibal Holacost is nothing short of a stomach turner, its scenes being so gruesome people actually believed the actors had been murder on set. before Deodato managed to clear up everything, proven the actors were in fact still alive.

3. The Girl Next Door (2007)
Not to be confused with The Girl next door romantic comedy. Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door is a truly Disturbing book and film, one I may add that I had to shut off halfway through and give my mind a break from, before watching the rest a few hours later. both the book and film are in fact loosely based on a true event that occurred to a young girl in the summer of 1965. The story itself starts with David Moran whom after witnessing a hit and run. reflects on his past in the year 1958, when two innocent girls suffered horrifying abuse at the hand of his neighbor and her sons.  If you watch this be aware, there will be times you wish you could jump through the screen and possibly beat the shit out of the evil bastards, but more than likely will come to the realization there's nothing you can do but watch the horrific events unfold. I highly don't recommend you watch it if you're easily disturbed.

4. Human Centipede 2
Now, this wonderfully twisted gem is one I recommend you don't eat Before, directly after or by no fucking means during the watching of this film. The last thing you want is to see some of what's in it and happen to be eating creamy chocolate bar loaded with peanuts. If you've seen it you know what I'm talking about, if not your more then likely gonna make yourself sick. if you're into creepy, extream butt munching this film was made for you. But in all seriousness, this film really does have all that's needed for a disturbing watch. The film focuses on a rather mentally unstable, creepy gentlemen by the name of Martin, as his odd obsession with the idea of the human centipede turns into an unfortunate reality for a handful of unwilling souls. So if you're not easily grossed out, feel free to check it out for yourself.

5. A Siberian Film
This here is a film, I feel would leave just about anyone feeling an outstanding amount of discomforted well watching it. as it is basically nothing short of honest to god murder a snuff film.  Following the life of an aging adult star trying to provide for his family, he ends up on a film project, where he is forced into doing acts that will surely leave you with a twist in your stomach. the film contains themes that will surely leave you fucking wondering why you ever watched it and trying to forget the insanity within, reminding yourself it's not real. with themes such as rape, necrophilia, and straight up sexual murder a Siberian film is not only disturbing but can leave you straight up sick to your stomach. I do not advise or recommend to anyone. well unless your into watching cringe-worthy, gory as hell, mysteries. in that case, go to her.

congrats you made it to the end of my rambling. I hope you enjoyed my list, and if you know of any other disturbing films feel free to leave a comment telling me what they are.
